春の海上

I joined the seabird research at Sagami Bay. We spotted some spring migrants and seabirds in beautiful summer plumage. Spring is there at sea, too.



こんなにきれいな夏羽のハイイロヒレアシシギを見たのは初めてだった。

３羽とも雌だった。



On almost every floating object at a current rip, there were common terns resting.



アジサシ数羽が素敵な形の流木に止まっていた。そのうちしっかり絵にしたい風景。
　


Japanese Murrelets and the Mt.Fuji.
数カ所で数羽ずつカンムリウミスズメを見た。
ウミスズメは大きな群れがいた。最終的な集計では84羽を数えたという。いつもの生活圏からの単純な距離で言えば、"身近な鳥"なはずなのに、海にいるというだけで全く見えていないのが海鳥の世界。



帰りに寄った天神島で、キアシシギ、キョウジョシギ、チュウシャクシギが見られた。
