Fieldnote from Klong Ya

I came back to Japan! Thanks to many friends in Thailand, every single day was sanuk maak.

In Klong Ya, we watched birds mostly on the boat but occasionally we landed on the partly dried exposed bank of the lake, which will be under water during flood season.

Dollarbird(ブッポウソウ)

The flower of the tree, on which the Dollarbird perched: Lagerstroemia macrocarpa

Black-thighed Falconet(モモグロヒメハヤブサ)

Grey-and-buff Woodpecker(カンムリコゲラ)
